Established in 1889, we are a paid department that currently carries a 4 rating by the I.S.O. We operate out of 1 station and cover an area of approximately 9 square miles. We protect approximately 13,000 citizens and countless visitors to our community. Marshall is the home of Missouri Valley College which has an annual enrollment of 1300+ students. We provide rescue and extrication services for a large portion of SalineCounty. This includes 10 miles of Interstate 70, all of 65 Highway and several other State Highways in our area. By contractual agreement, we also house, provide manning and respond for The Saline County Rural Fire Protection Association This is a subscription supported Department that covers an 8 mile radius from the center of our community. It currently has 500+ members.
